In '79 the rockumentary 'The Kids Are Alright' and the film version of 'Quadrophenia' were released. The former includes live performances, promotional films, and interviews from 1965 to 1978 and opens with the band's appearance on the US TV show 'The Smothers Brothers' in 1967; riotous entertainment ensued when Moon blew up his drums and set fire to Townshend.
